A reading tracker that helps you keep reading

Hikara tracks what you read (statuses, half-star ratings, notes and progress by page or by percentage) and helps you build the habit: a reading-session log, a streak protected by automatic freeze credits, yearly and per-book goals, and a short daily routine on the Reading tab.

Your library

Every book has a status (want to read, reading, read or did not finish), a rating in half stars, your notes and key takeaways, and progress tracked by page or, for audiobooks and e-readers, by percentage.

Organise books on custom shelves, filter and search your library, and act on several books at once. Import a Goodreads export to bring your history across.

The habit

The Reading tab is built for a few minutes a day:

  • Log a session with pages or a percentage, minutes and your mood — or tap +5, +10 or +25 pages.
  • Focus mode times a reading sprint (15, 25 or 45 minutes, or open-ended) and logs it as a session.
  • Your streak counts the days in a row you read; freeze credits cover a missed day or two automatically.
  • Set a yearly goal in books, and finish-by goals for individual books.
  • Reminders arrive at the time you usually read, and a warning in the evening if your streak is at risk.

Seeing your progress

The Progress tab shows your reading pace and rhythm, recent sessions and a monthly digest. Sessions can be edited later, and past reading can be logged after the fact.

Questions

Can I track audiobooks and e-books?

Yes. Any book can be tracked by percentage instead of pages, which suits audiobooks and e-readers that don't show page numbers.

What happens to my streak if I miss a day?

If you have freeze credits, Hikara spends them automatically to cover a gap of one or two days, so the streak survives. A longer gap ends it.

Is the reading tracker free?

Yes. Tracking, sessions, streaks, goals and Goodreads import are all on the free plan, with an unlimited library.
