Understand what you read

The Insights page turns your library into answers: which themes you read most and least, a counter-read that argues with a book you've read, the themes in your highlights, and an AI-written portrait of you as a reader.

Blind spots and themes

A diversity report shows how your reading spreads across themes and where you've read little or nothing. A thematic heatmap shows how many of your books fall in each theme and how strongly they connect.

Counter-reads

Hikara picks a book you've read and suggests one that argues against it, so you hear the other side; reshuffle for another. It's the quickest way out of a library that only agrees with itself.

Your reading personality

Reading DNA describes your reading as a whole. You can also generate a personality from your last few books or from a period you choose, and share it as a page if you like.

Clusters and visualizations

Insights groups connected books into clusters you can explore one at a time, alongside your strongest connections. The Visualizations page adds a Mood Galaxy of how your books feel and a Genre Constellation of how they cluster by theme.

Questions

How does Hikara decide what my blind spots are?

It groups your books into themes using their subject categories and compares that with the range of themes it recognises. Themes with few or none of your books are your blind spots.

Can I see my reading change over time?

Yes, in a few places: the Progress tab shows your pace and rhythm, monthly and yearly Wrapped recap each period, and a reading personality can be generated for any period you choose.
