Find books by how they feel

Vibe search lets you describe the book you're in the mood for in your own words, like "melancholic morning reads" or "slow-burn philosophical fiction", and Hikara's AI suggests books that fit. No genre menus, no fixed list of moods.

How it works

Open Add a book and switch to vibe search. Type a phrase, and the AI suggests books matching the feeling you described, each of which you can add to your library in one step.

It works best with a feeling or situation rather than a topic: what you want the book to be like, not only what it's about.

Why start from a mood

Finish a book and you often know exactly the experience you want next ("cosy but mysterious", "demanding but ultimately hopeful") without a genre that names it. Vibe search starts from that feeling instead of making you translate it into categories.

Different from mood filters

Some apps let you filter by a set list of moods. Vibe search is open-ended: any phrase you can think of is a valid search.

Questions

What should I type into vibe search?

Describe a feeling, a situation or an atmosphere: "cosy winter mystery", "a book for a long train journey", "angry but hopeful essays". Topics work too, but moods are where it's most useful.

How many vibe searches do I get?

One a month on Free, eight on Basic, and unlimited on Premium.
