A Harmonious Echo
You rated both 'Mistborn: Secret History' and 'Warbreaker' a perfect 5/5, and in doing so, you've demonstrated a profound appreciation for Brandon Sanderson's mastery of crafting intricate, yet profoundly human magic systems as vehicles for exploring weighty philosophical and ethical dilemmas. The unexpected connection lies in how both narratives, despite their vastly different settings and immediate stakes, reveal a shared authorial preoccupation with the nature of sacrifice and the corrupting influence of power – a deep dive into the darker currents of what it means to be 'good' when faced with overwhelming consequences, a theme you clearly resonated with.
